This month, I had the opportunity to hold a conversation with Carmen White Janak about “Getting Started.” Carmen is phenomenal! She describes herself as a black woman activist, minister, singer, speaker, and writer. As the CEO/Founder of InnerView Consulting Group, she began a group for women that gave birth to businesses, books, callings and causes because Carmen dared to say “Yes,” and then inspired other women to say YES, too.
Carmen is a founding board member of the World Stage Theatre Company and recently travelled with that company to The Netherlands to share the company’s production of Best of Enemies. Academically, she has lectured on racial studies and women’s issues at the collegiate level.
In this podcast, Carmen and I talk about the difficulties we face when starting anything new, and ways we can empower each other to overcome those obstacles. In particular, we talk about the DoYouMind.life project–Carmen is Project Manager for the project, and in her role, she constantly reminds me of my values and inspires me to rise ever higher.
I invite you to join my Conversation with… Carmen.
Until next time,
